How to earn by referring traders, the honest version

How to earn by referring traders to BancaBot: what a referral actually is, when it counts, when it pays nothing, and what you should tell people before they sign up.

A notebook, pen, coffee cup and closed laptop on a wooden desk in soft morning light.

If you want to know how to earn by referring traders, the short answer is this: you share a link, someone follows it, signs up and trades, and your account records it. That is the whole mechanism. Everything else is detail about when it counts and when it does not. This post is the unglamorous version, because the glamorous version gets people to sign up for something they then quietly abandon.

BancaBot runs a referral programme through its Earn with us page. BancaBot is a trading assistant for Deriv. It is not a broker and it never holds anyone's money, and that matters for what you can honestly tell the people you refer.

A referral is a tracked link, not a conversation

A referral is a link with your identifier attached to it. When someone clicks it, their browser carries that identifier with them. If they go on to create an account, the system can see where they came from and attributes them to you.

This is why telling a friend about BancaBot over the phone and watching them search for it themselves earns you nothing. There was no link. There is nothing to attach the signup to. The same happens when someone clicks your link, closes the tab, and comes back a week later through a search result, or opens your link on their phone and signs up on their laptop.

None of that is a trick played on you. It is just how tracking works everywhere on the web. If you plan to refer people seriously, plan around it: send the link in writing, send it to the device they are likely to use, and send it close to the moment they are actually going to sit down and try the thing.

What counts is a real signup that does something

A click is not a referral. A referral is a person who arrives, creates an account and uses it. Someone who lands on the page, reads two lines and leaves is a visit, and visits do not pay.

That shapes who is worth referring. A person who already trades on Deriv and is looking for a better read on the market is a good fit. A person who has never traded, does not want to, and is only clicking because you asked them to is not. They will not sign up, or they will sign up and vanish, and you will have spent your goodwill for nothing.

The people most likely to stay are the ones with a problem BancaBot actually addresses. Someone who trades digit contracts on Deriv's synthetic indices and wants to see the cards behind a pick. Someone who wants a bot to stop at a loss limit instead of running until the balance is gone. Those are specific people, and you probably already know whether you know any.

When referring pays nothing at all

There are several ordinary situations where you will earn nothing, and it is better to know them now than to find out later and assume something is broken.

  • The person never clicked your link, or clicked a different one after yours.
  • They clicked, but signed up days later on a different device or after clearing their browser.
  • They created an account and never used it.
  • They already had an account before you ever sent the link.
  • You sent the link somewhere it was treated as spam and nobody opened it.

There is one more and it is the big one. Trading loses money for many people. Some of the people you refer will try it, lose, and stop. That is a normal outcome and no referral programme can change it. If your plan depends on everyone you send staying and trading for a long time, your plan is built on something you cannot control.

What you can honestly say to the people you refer

You can say what the tool does. You cannot say what it will earn, because nobody can, and anyone who tells you otherwise is selling you something.

So here is the honest pitch, and it is short. BancaBot reads Deriv markets and shows one call per market with the reasoning behind it, and the trader decides what to do with that. An Auto Trader can place trades from those signals and stops at the limits the trader sets, including a loss limit and a target. A digit analyzer reads the last digits of the synthetic indices and shows one pick for the next tick with every card that led to it. Bot Forge is a block based builder with a free bot library, and it reads bot files from the older builders, so an XML file from Binary Bot or DBot can be loaded, changed and run.

The signals, the analyzer and the free bot library are free to use. There are paid plans for the premium bots, and the pricing is on the site. You can say all of that without exaggerating a single word.

Tell them how the Deriv connection works, because that is the question

The question almost everyone asks before signing up is whether this thing can take their money. Answer it before they ask.

The trader signs in with their own Deriv account through Deriv's own OAuth screen. The permission asked for is trading only, which lets BancaBot read the account balance and place trades. It cannot withdraw, cannot move money, and never sees a password. Real and demo accounts both work.

Tell them to start on a demo account. It is the sensible place to start, it costs them nothing to find out whether they like the tool, and a person who had a calm first week is more likely to still be there in a month than a person who put real money on a screen they had never seen before.

Referring works best when you were already useful

The people who do well at this are usually people who were already answering questions. They run a group, they teach, they post charts, they are the person others message when a bot does something odd. The link is the last step of something they were doing anyway.

If that is not you, referring will feel like work with a long gap before anything happens, because it is. There is nothing wrong with deciding it is not worth your time. That is a reasonable conclusion and it is better reached now than after three months of sending links into group chats.

What does not work is volume without context. Pasting a link into every chat you are in gets you muted, gets the link reported, and leaves you with a reputation you then have to repair. One person who actually wanted the tool is worth more than fifty who did not.

If you want to see the terms and start properly, read the Earn with us page and get your link from there.

Questions

Do I need to trade myself to refer traders?

No, but it helps a great deal. The people you refer will ask you what the signals look like, how the Auto Trader limits work and whether a bot can be loaded from an old XML file. If you have used the tool on a demo account yourself, you can answer those questions instead of guessing, and your answers will be worth something.

What happens if the person I refer loses money?

Trading loses money for many people, and that includes people who arrive through a referral link. Nothing in a referral programme changes the risk of trading. This is why it is worth telling anyone you refer to start on a demo account and to set a loss limit before they run anything with real money.

Can I refer someone who already has a Deriv account?

The referral is to BancaBot, and the trader signs in to BancaBot with their own Deriv account through Deriv's OAuth screen. Someone who already trades on Deriv is often the easiest person to refer, because they already understand the markets and the contract types. What matters for attribution is that they reach BancaBot through your link and go on to create an account and use it.

How much does a referral pay?

The terms are set out on the Earn with us page rather than here, because they can change and a blog post is a bad place to keep a number current. Read that page before you start sending links so you know what you are agreeing to.

Trading on Deriv puts your money at risk, and automation does not change that. Practise on a demo account first and only trade money you can afford to lose.
